Meet the Founder

Greetings, my name is Tameka French, and I am the proud owner and founder of Kay’s Praying Hands, LLC. First, I would like to take this moment to give praise to the Lord above for blessing me with the opportunity to serve your loved ones with compassion and dignity.

A seed was planted and began to take root in 1995 when I started my journey in a long-term care facility as a housekeeper. Over the years, I gained experience in both long- and short-term care settings. From my humble beginnings in housekeeping, I later transitioned into the role of an activity assistant.

It was in that role that I had the privilege of participating in care conferences with residents and their families. Through those experiences, I gained deeper insight into the critical gaps in care that many individuals and families faced. Those meaningful experiences and humble beginnings became the foundation upon which Kay’s Praying Hands was built.

My professional background in hospice care, social work, and case management eventually led me to serve as a Social Services Director in a long-term care facility for three years.

During that time, I realized that advocacy was more than just a part of my job—it was my calling. I was committed to ensuring that residents and their families received quality care, support, respect, and compassion.

Here at Kay’s Praying Hands, LLC, that commitment remains the same. My goal is to ensure that every individual receives compassionate, dependable, and person-centered support while maintaining their dignity and independence in the place they call home.
