About me

Greetings, my name is Tameka French.  I am the proud owner and founder of Kay’s Praying Hands, LLC.  First, let me take this moment to give praises to the Lord above for blessing me with the opportunity to serve your loved ones with compassion and dignity.

A seed was planted and began to root in 1995 when I began my journey in a long-term care facility as a housekeeper.  Over the years, I worked in both long and short-term care settings.  With humble beginnings starting in housekeeping and later transitioning into the role of an activity assistant.  It was in that role, I had the privilege to participate in care conferences with residents and their families.  This is where I gained a deep insight into the critical gaps in care that many individuals faced.  Those insightful and humble beginnings is where the birth of Kay’s Praying Hands was rooted!

My professionally developed background in hospice care, social work, and case management led me to a position where I served as a Social Services Director in a long-term care facility for three years.  During that time, I recognized advocacy was more than just a part of my job—it was my calling!  There, I ensured that residents and their families received the highest quality of care and support.

Here, at Kay’s Praying Hands, that goal is no different.  It is and will always be an extraordinary stay and experience!
